The first contains the History of Jupiter, Juno, Saturn, Minerva, Mars, Venus, Vulcan, Mercury, Apollo, Diana, Bacchus, &c. together with an historical Explanation of all the poetical Fables relating to these several Divinities. Under the second Class is the History of Demogorgon, Cybele, Vesta, Terminus, Flora, the Satyrs, &c. The third contains the History of Neptune, Amphitrite, Nereus, Proteus, the Nymphs; with a curious Enquiry into the Foundation and Nature of that Worship which was paid them.
